Doraemon: The Cute Japanese Character That Stole Hearts Across the World
Since his presentation in the first manga's delivery back in 1969, the modern blue automated feline Doraemon has been catching the hearts of children and grown-ups the same.
Doraemon was our first exposure to Japanese culture for many of us who did not grow up in Japan. We got to see how these cartoon characters lived, with a little bit of extra hilarity thrown in, in Japan and what a typical home looked like.
For those who have never met Doraemon, it's important to explain who and what he is before we get into the extent of the series' cultural and international impact.
The formation of Doraemon
Doraemon was made by Fujiko Fujio, which — you may be shocked to be aware — is really the pseudonym for a couple of manga craftsmen, Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko. The first distributed type of Doraemon previously showed up in 1969 through the month to month kids' magazine, Shogakukan. Since the target group inclined towards the more youthful side, the story was composed with a carefree tone to make it interesting to kids.
The thought for the Doraemon series didn't come as a solitary brilliant idea, yet all things considered, as three extremely detached things. It was said that Hiroshi Fujimoto was inspired by hearing cats fighting in his neighborhood, tripping over one of his daughter's toys, and hoping for a machine to help him come up with a new manga idea. Curiously, he joined every one of the three of these episodes and showed up at the thought for what might later turn into a very "kawaii" character.
